Introducing My Next Book: Lucky Penny 🍀🖤

If you’ve been following along through the journey of writing Beneath a Broken Sky, first of all… thank you. Seriously. Watching readers connect with my characters, stories, and all the emotional chaos I put them through has meant more to me than I can explain.

And now… I finally get to start sharing a little bit about the next story that has completely taken over my heart.

Meet Lucky Penny

Lucky Penny is an emotional coming-of-age story about grief, friendship, healing, first love, and learning how to survive after losing someone who felt impossible to lose.

At its core, this story follows Charlie, Jimmy, Penny, and Lucas — four kids connected by horses, childhood memories, and the kind of friendship that feels unbreakable… until life changes everything.

This book is softer and more grounded than Beneath a Broken Sky, but don’t worry — it still carries all the emotional intensity, layered relationships, clean romance, faith themes, and heartbreak that I love writing so much.

Why Lucky Penny Means So Much To Me

Some stories are fun to write. Some stories emotionally destroy you while writing them. 😭

This one definitely falls into the second category.

There are scenes in this book that genuinely made me cry as I wrote them, and moments that felt so real because they were inspired by the emotions, fears, friendships, and memories that so many of us experience growing up.

The characters already feel incredibly alive to me, and I cannot wait for readers to meet them.

Especially Jimmy.

When Will It Release?

Right now, the goal is to have Lucky Penny released and available to read by the end of the summer! ☀️🍀

There’s still a lot of work happening behind the scenes — writing, editing, formatting, cover concepts, all the chaotic author things — but I’m so excited to finally start bringing readers along for the journey.
