Hello!

I'm

Taylor A Stories

Author. Reader. Horse girl. Wife & mom
Professional maker-up of fictional people's problems.
I write stories about ordinary people thrown into extraordinary circumstances—stories filled with faith, friendship, love, loss, horses, and a whole lot of hope.
When I’m not making my characters’ lives unnecessarily complicated, you can usually find me with my family, behind a camera, at the barn with my horse, or curled up somewhere with a good book.

The girl behind the stories...

I'm Taylor A., an author of clean, heartfelt romance for YA and adult readers who love swoony love stories, unforgettable friendships, found family, and all the tropes that make you want to stay up way too late reading just one more chapter.

My stories aren't afraid of the messy parts of life. My characters walk through grief, heartache, loss, faith, healing, and all the complicated moments in between—but at the heart of every story is hope.

When I'm not writing, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, drinking a Dr Pepper or coffee (depending on the day), spending time with my family, volunteering at church, or outside enjoying the beautiful chaos of life with horses.

My Inspiration

My husband and children are a huge inspiration behind everything I do, and little pieces of our life have a way of sneaking into my stories.

Yes, Arrow is real.

Horses have always held a special place in my heart and are a huge part of our everyday lives. So naturally, they have a habit of finding their way into my stories, too.

And if you've read Beneath A Broken Sky, you may recognize this guy.

Meet Arrow—the real horse behind Hadley's Arrow. ♡

Why I Write

I believe some of the most powerful stories are the ones that remind us there is still hope when life doesn’t go according to plan.

That’s why I write about imperfect characters, complicated relationships, deep friendships, faith, grief, love, and second chances. My characters don’t always get the easy road—but somewhere along the way, they discover that even in the hardest seasons, hope is still worth holding onto.

I also believe young women should be able to fall in love with a good romance without all the unnecessary stuff that so often comes with it. I want readers to have the butterflies, the tension, the banter, the first kisses, and all their favorite tropes—enemies to lovers, brother’s best friend, love triangles, slow burns, and everything in between—while still keeping the romance wholesome and clean.

Because you shouldn’t have to choose between a romance you can’t put down and a romance you feel good about reading.

My stories are written for the girls who want to swoon, laugh, cry, root for their favorite couple, and stay up way too late reading just one more chapter—without having to skip pages.

Because sometimes a story doesn’t need to fix everything.

Sometimes it just needs to remind us that hope is still there.

Somehow these stories became books...

What started as characters living inside my head somehow turned into real books sitting on real shelves—and I'll never stop thinking that's a little bit crazy.

Every story I write carries a piece of me with it. Some borrow from my life, some from the people I love, and some begin with nothing more than a what if?

But they all have one thing in common:

No matter how dark the story gets, I will always leave room for hope.

Come for the romance,
stay for the
hope.
